I really enjoy seeing this friendly little bird, each time he appears, as he truly is a backyard jewel.  Hearing his distinct little sound seems to alert me to his presence as much as seeing him.  He has boundless energy as he goes up and down the tree branches or to the feeder, never lingering, as if to say he has lots to do.  The nuthatch is one of my favorite backyard friends and I hope you will enjoy this drawing of him as much as I enjoyed sketching him.
