Mallard Drake High Head

Mallard Drake High Head

$595.00Price
  • Vintage Mallard Drake Duck Decoy Original Paint Magnum Turned Head Carved By Danny Lee Heuer
  • This Decoy is from my (deceased) 96 year old fathers estate and Duck Decoy Collection.
  • Hand Carved and Painted by Danny Lee Heuer, out of White Pine, circa 1985, 40 plus years old.
  • Approximate Size;  16 1/2" long by 8 1/4" high and 7" wide, a magnum full size working decoy.
  • This Drake Mallard was hunted over for only 1 season and then retired to Dad's early growing decoy collection.
  • As with all of his working decoys, we were given strict orders not to shoot to close to this beauty for obvious reasons.
  • I remember only hunting over this decoy for two different outings, as Dad really liked this High Head Mallard & shelfed it early.
  • This magnum sized and style of carving became Dad's trademark, as his decoys always rode the water realistically.
  • The size of the decoy, and the way it rode the water, made these wooden carvings just the best to hunt over.
  • A must have bird for that serious decoy collector, and would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
  • This Drake Mallard decoy is featured on the poster, "The Decoys of Danny Lee Heuer", which comes at no cost to the buyer.
  • The Poster is featured in the pictures and shows just a few of his many other decoys.
  • There only a few of his decoys left for sale that are featured on the poster, "The Decoys of Danny Lee Heuer!"
  • Surprise that someone special in your life with a gift that never stops giving.
