"Jumping Thunder" is a creation of a memory from a very long time ago when I went afield and chased after these little fast flyers.  Have spent many a fine fall day in the field, just enjoying the outdoors, the woods, scenery and all of it that makes for a great memory.  This is the inspiration for this creation and it reflects a very fond memory.  Also, this beautiful Ruffed Grouse, escape me to live for another day as he broke into the clearing and flew up the path leading away from me.  Ruffed Grouse are sometimes fondly called "Thunder Birds", as they always scare anyone who is in a silent woods and hears or see them jump into the sky and fly away.  I am sure those of you who pursue this little guy know what I am talking about.  I hope that those of you who elect to put a copy of this piece on your wall, enjoy it as much as I did in creating it....as always I state; "may they always fly!"
