The day has nearly faded and the tranquility of twilight is upon the colorful pair of cardinals.  As the sunset casts its warm hue of red, the birds settle in for their roost, giving way to the title “Red at Night”. I had the pleasure to observe this pair one late spring evening, perched so securely on the branches of the balsam while the sun had nearly set. They seemed to be very peaceful, and the color contrast was so striking that I knew one day I would try & recreate the scene.  I have tried my best to convey that moment in my newest release-“Red at Night” and I hope those of you who elect to own a copy will gain the same peaceful feeling I have gained from this experience and visual creation.
