Love's Promise
Floating as a leaf being blown by the wind,
My heart burns with desire oh where do I begin.
To seek refuge from all of life’s hidden pain,
I turned to you as you sheltered me from the oncoming rain.
The mist coming from the gray skies above,
I cried as I found you my dear sweet love.
Knowing only that your beauty has so taken me,
Trust me my love now this you will come to feel and see.
I love you now and forever I always will,
Beyond this I give you my heart with a need to fill.
Never will you have from me a cloudy day,
I will give you dreams forever, this I promise and say.
Find a truer love than mine, I would sooner die,
Loves promise by my prose, to you my heart and soul will fly.
I grant you all that I am and have to give,
A life of joy and peace a perfect love to live.
Find strength within this promise to you my dear,
I speak not lightly learn from me you have no fear.
Only a heart that will give you all you could ever need,
A life filled with love, joy and peace to you my gift and deed.
