Sitting in her room, in a big safe chair with her favorite doll, just speaks for itself with the saying “sugar and spice and everything nice”, when it comes to our little girls.  I was asked by a collector if I could create a special piece for his wife’s birthday, as she is a Koala teddy bear collector.  I knew it would be a departure from the wildlife that I am used to painting, but the end result of this picture is the answer to his question.  I really enjoyed creating this little picture and during its process thought of my own four daughters, and how they each enjoyed playing with their own doll.  I hope that all of you who elect to own a copy of this painting to hang on the wall, are reminded of the days when you also used to think of and hang out with your own little “buddy”.
